Overview

Expense Logger is a personal expense tracking application that integrates with Google Sheets. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data We Collect

  • Google User ID: Used to identify your account
  • OAuth Refresh Token: Encrypted and stored to maintain access to your Google Sheets
  • Spreadsheet Configuration: Your chosen spreadsheet ID and sheet ID
  • Expense Data: Amount and description entered through the app (written directly to your Google Sheet, not stored on our servers)

How We Use Your Data

  • To authenticate you with Google OAuth
  • To write expense entries to your specified Google Sheet
  • To maintain your session and spreadsheet configuration

Data Storage and Security

  • OAuth refresh tokens are encrypted at rest using Fernet symmetric encryption
  • All data is stored in a local SQLite database
  • Expense data is written directly to your Google Sheet and not retained on our servers

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or distribute your personal data to third parties. Your data is only used to provide the expense logging functionality.

Data Retention and Deletion

  • Your data is retained as long as you use the application
  • When you log out, your OAuth tokens are revoked
  • To completely delete your data, contact the administrator

This application uses Google API Services and complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
